Think: If The Black Keys met up with Gary Clark Jr for a beer, but ended up stumbling on Mick and Keith on the way, while listening to grunge.

Based in NYC, Vicious Clay was idealized by Vinny Silva as his one-man emotional outlet. The band's debut EP was released in 2020, and they have been performing it live as a power trio in venues in the five boroughs and metropolitan area.

The band’s songs consistently navigate themes of personal struggle, perseverance, and the quest for meaning and self-identity. They often juxtapose moments of doubt and difficulty with a resilient drive to overcome and find purpose. The narrative voice is introspective, (...)

Here's some of my favorite things: 1- tracking live direct to tape, 2- listening to the sound of real music I contributed to running through the monitors in the control room, 3- playing with talented, creative artists, musicians, producers and engineers, 4- state-of-the-art analog, live mixing consoles, 5- the perfect combination of spontaneous magic and thoughtful crafting of a solo through communication, 6- the unthinkable, bizarre yet beautiful adjectives and sceneries to describe how music touches you deep into the night, when your brain is at that perfect mixture between hazy and electric, 7- getting the producer emotional (that's when you know you're on the right track). #studio #guitar #musician #music

Tell Me Something Good by Chaka Khan is one of my favorite harmonies ever written. Written by Stevie Wonder and made forever famous by @chakakhan (in her early band called Rufus, which changed the band name to Chaka Khan and Rufus after this song was released bc.. that's how powerful her talent is). anyway, this solo is a play with what she does live with her band, guitar then vocals call and response. one of my favorite songs by Os Mutantes, this band featured Rita Lee, Sergio Dias and Arnaldo Baptista, all icons of Brazilian rock music and of the Tropicalia music movement in the late 60s and early 70s.
